Anime and manga have shaped global entertainment, with genres for all ages and tastes. Whether you're a true otaku or a casual fan, test your knowledge and join the fun!

📋 Competition Format

The quiz has 4 levels, each with 2 rounds (8 rounds total).

• Junior Ben & Ume Ben: All participants join. Top 50 move on.

• Take Ben & Matsu Ben: Final rounds for the Top 50.

Short breaks will be given between levels.

• Multiple-choice questions

• Each round:

  ・10 culture questions

  ・12 language questions

• Culture questions: in English/simple Japanese

• Language questions: in Japanese

• Timing varies by round

👤 Who Can Join

Open to individual JLfest 2025 participants with JLPT N3 or below, who:

• Haven’t studied at a Japanese university/college

• Don’t have a native Japanese-speaking parent
