Learning the Language of Manga

Join manga researcher Yoo Sookyung from Kyoto Seika University and the Kyoto International Manga Museum for an accessible introduction to manga fundamentals.

From manga genres and characteristics to dialogue writing, onomatopoeia (sound words and mimetic expressions), and manga symbols (visual conventions unique to manga), we'll explore the essential elements of manga.
