Impromptu Speaking

WORKSHOP DATE:

Sat.  July 25  (Time)

CLOSING DATE:

Wed. July 22  (Time)

Workshop FORM

What exactly is impromptu speaking? How is it different from an impromptu speech? More importantly, how can we help our students develop the confidence and ability to speak spontaneously in Japanese?

These are some of the questions we will explore in this interactive workshop.

Participants will first experience a classroom activity developed by teachers in Indonesia. After taking part in the activity, they will evaluate its suitability and effectiveness in developing students' impromptu speaking skills. The workshop will then move into collaborative discussions, where participants will exchange ideas and explore additional activities and strategies that can be adapted for their own classrooms.

This Malaysia–Indonesia–Philippines initiative brings together Japanese language teachers from across ASEAN and beyond to share ideas, exchange best practices, and learn from one another. Through professional dialogue and collaboration, the workshop aims to inspire practical teaching approaches that can be readily implemented in the classroom.

Join us to discover new ideas, connect with fellow educators, and make your Japanese language classes even more engaging, interactive, and effective for your students.
